Jun. 8--Here's a comforting thought for drivers stuck in traffic at intersections on Jimmy Carter Boulevard: It looks like it's not getting worse.
"It looks fairly stable," said Bill Powell, deputy director of Gwinnett County's Department of Transportation. "[Traffic counts for] some parts are going up. Some are going down. Some are staying the same."
For the folks driving on one of the most congested roads in Gwinnett County, that kind of news might be taken as a good thing. But it means trouble for the street's business owners, who are trying to get the attention of state transportation agencies.
