Jun. 10--George Nancarrow was born in Flat Rock, went to Pisgah High, continued his education at Jacksonville State University and then began his coaching career at Speake High in Lawrence County.
Of his nine years as a coach, he spent one inside the Morgan County borders. For 24 years, he was either a principal or a school superintendent in Morgan, Lawrence and Lauderdale counties.
Now he can add Morgan County Sports Hall of Fame to that list.
