ECUADOR produced the first shock on the opening day of the World Cup finals after they stunned pre-match favourites Poland at the Veltins Arena last night.
Agustin Delgado scored one goal and made one as the South Americans got their second ever finals campaign off to a flying start over their Group A rivals.
Delgado's 24th-minute flick-on set up the opener for Carlos Tenorio before his strike partner sealed the win from point-blank range with 10 minutes remaining.
