NINA WEST thought her son Ryan had taken a pair of scissors to his hair when she saw bald patches on his scalp.
But the five-year-old's hair loss was due to something much worse than a childish prank - alopecia.
Little Ryan is one of the country's youngest sufferers of the disease.
And Nina, 28, revealed both she and her son - described as a wee angel by family friends - are struggling to cope with the diagnosis and cruel taunts from bullies.
