Jun. 11--M-16 For at least the past two years, 100 military surplus M-16 rifles have been gathering dust in the Dallas County Sheriff's Department armory. Deputies, however, want them in their cruisers.
Many law enforcement officers across the country have beefed up their arsenals to keep up with criminals' ever-growing firepower.
