Jun. 11--The death of a Cuyahoga Falls police officer is being blamed on a roadside bomb that detonated near his vehicle while he was on patrol Thursday in Iraq. The Ohio National Guard on Saturday released a few more details about the death of Sgt. Daniel Crabtree, 31, who was serving with the 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group. Crabtree was critically injured in the blast, which occurred near Al Kut in east-central Iraq, according to the National Guard. A nine-year veteran of the Falls police force, Crabtree leaves behind a wife, Kathy, and a 17-month-old daughter, Mallory, both of Green. He's also survived by his father, ...
