HAMBURG, Germany - Fans of the Red Sox say they are part of a nation, a group of followers supporting one entity, one idea, one goal.
But what if Red Sox Nation was truly one nation, with every American supporting the men of Fenway as they set course for the American League pennant?
Picture that, and that's the World Cup.
The eyes of two nations, Argentina and the Ivory Coast, were fixed here last night, for both clubs' opener in Group C play. This four-team pairing is this tournament's toughest, earning the moniker that one unlucky foursome always receives - the Group of Death.
