COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- American Telecasting Inc. (NASDAQ: ATEL) ("ATI" or the "company") announced today it has entered into binding letters of understanding with Family Entertainment Network Inc. ("FEN") and Wireless Entertainment Network Inc. ("WEN") to acquire wireless cable television systems and wireless cable channel rights in a series of U.S. markets. These markets contain an aggregate of approximately 500,000 estimated homes in the service areas. The markets being acquired include seven operating systems including Green Bay, Wis.; Grand Island, Neb.; Fargo, N.D.; St. James, Minn. and three other geographically proximate markets.
