THOUSANDS of people flocked to Solihull Carnival on Saturday for fun in the sun.
England's World Cup clash with Paraguay failed to lure the throngs of visitors who packed into Tudor Grange Park for the carnival, one of Solihull's biggest annual events.
And members of Shirley Round Table, who organised the event, said the day was "fantastic" and a huge success.
The fun began at noon when a motor-ised carnival procession set off from New Road, Malvern Park, travelling along Solihull High Street to Tudor Grange Park where the event was declared open by the Mayor of Solihull, John Reeve.
