BOULDER, Colo. _ Saturday night, Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder was confronting security guards from the stage, tossing their headphones into a Boulder crowd of 3,800 people.
Sunday night, after the third of three sold-out Pearl Jam shows was abruptly canceled, he was calling the situation ``ridiculous.''
In a spur-of-the-moment phone interview with the Boulder, Colo., radio station KBCO, Vedder defended ``moshing'' _ the frenetic slam-dancing that often occurs at hard-rock shows _ as ``something that's kind of self-governing.
