BASEBALL DRAFT
Major-league baseball raided Oregon State's junior class on Tuesday.
Four OSU juniors who have lifted the Beavers into the Super Regionals this weekend against Stanford were picked on the first day of the amateur draft.
Pitcher Dallas Buck and outfielder Cole Gillespie were both selected in the third round to give OSU its highest pair of draftees in more than 20 years. Reliever Kevin Gunderson went in the fifth round, and starting pitcher Jonah Nickerson went in the seventh round.
