PLEASANT HILL - What do you call a bunch of teenagers who celebrate the last day of class by riding lawn mowers to school?
Seniors, of course.
And so it was Wednesday at Pleasant Hill High School, where 10 or so seniors bid adieu to their high school experience by getting to and from campus aboard John Deeres and Craftsmans and Yard-Mans that most likely had never before ventured beyond the back 40.
"It was fun," said Otis Laney, 18, recalling his morning commute on a Yard-Man that topped out at about 10 mph. "I'm sorry, this is my last day of school and I'm going to do something memorable."
