Jun. 13--Albertson's LLC said Monday that it's shutting down its Super Saver subsidiary, which operates 11 stores in Dallas-Fort Worth and employs 940 people.
Last week, the new owners of Albertson's stores in Texas and other markets said it was closing dozens of stores to focus on turning around the rest of the chain.
Super Saver stores are operated by subsidiary Extreme Inc. In recent years, it converted several unprofitable Albertson's locations to the no-frills Super Saver concept.
