WASHINGTON -- Colorado Rockies scouting director Bill Schmidt is moving quickly in signing draft picks.
Right-hander Greg Reynolds of Stanford, the Rockies' No. 1 draft pick and second player taken overall last week, agreed to terms with the Rockies on Monday, the first day the Rockies could negotiate with him.
Stanford was eliminated in the NCAA tournament's Super Regional in Corvallis, Ore., on Sunday night.
Reynolds, who must pass a physical, will receive a $3.25 million bonus, $750,000 less than Nebraska third baseman Alex Gordon received from the Kansas City Royals last year but ...
