A publicly traded $463 billion asset manager is teaming up with a Stamford, Conn., developer controlled by The Rockefeller Group to snap up the first of the redevelopment projects that have changed the face of White Plains.
BlackRock Inc. and Haveland LLC. are in contract to buy Clayton Park, a 261-unit, market-rate apartment building at Canfield Avenue and Main Street. The joint venture is the latest in a line of out-of-town investors to bet on White Plains' heated apartment market, which has added more than 2,000 units since Clayton Park was approved in 2000.
