Jun. 10--It doesn't take much persuasion to convince Hawaii residents to take a Las Vegas vacation.
The Aloha State's love affair with this desert playground is well known, and residents of the Pacific paradise often call Las Vegas Hawaii's "ninth island" because so many of them visit or move here.
If Kimo Akane's new television program does well, Las Vegas should soon see even more islanders at its hotels, casinos, restaurants and showrooms.
Akane recently launched "Kimo's Vegas," a television program that showcases this city's personalities and attractions before Hawaiian audiences.
