On an A-1 night for the Syracuse SkyChiefs, the only thing missing was the A.1.
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher A.J. Burnett made an injury rehabilitation start for the SkyChiefs Monday and tossed five no-hit innings against the Columbus Clippers.
John Hattig tied a modern (1961-present) Syracuse record with three doubles, Kevin Barker hit a three-run home run, and Jamie Vermilyea had eight strikeouts in four innings in relief of Burnett as the SkyChiefs pounded the Clippers 9-3.
And to top it all off, Burnett splurged for the postgame spread from the Outback Steakhouse on Erie Boulevard. The only problem ...
