With an intensity tied to the increasing competition posed by international entities, a growing number of American companies are pursuing "total quality" principles to upgrade their products and services, according to risk managers and consultants interviewed by the National Underwriter.
While most experts had high praise for total quality principles, they uniformly stressed that a company-wide commitment is necessary in order to achieve any access with the programs.
