WASHINGTON -- WASHINGTON - It's been barely a year since Ryan Zimmerman turned in his University of Virginia baseball uniform. It only seems about five times longer.
Time actually is the rare concept Virginia Beach's Zimmerman has little feel for. Especially now that one day melts into another and then into the next for him.
The major leagues, Zimmerman has come to understand, are built for endurance.
