HAMILTON -- The mother of Hamilton attorney Lawrence "Rusty" Thomas III has pleaded guilty to charges that she helped one of her son's clients flee the country to avoid prosecution on rape and kidnapping charges.
Robin Thomas, who worked as an office manager for her son's law firm, admitted Friday that she gave money to Brian Stepp's wife and mother that aided his fleeing to England, where he is now fighting extradition.
Stepp, 31, of Liberty Township, is accused of posing as an undercover police officer to rape three Hamilton women in late 2003.
