Sun Cellular has completed Phase Five of its network expansion program, amounting to $200 million, which further widened its coverage area and network capacity to four million subscribers.
The company has been spending this much every year for the expansion and upgrade of its wireless network, making sure its capacity is always ahead of its number of subscribers.
Phase five of the expansion resulted in increased network coverage, improved efficiency in call handling. It also gave Sun a much larger SMS capacity and advanced SMS capabilities -- making local and international texting easier for subscribers.
