NEW YORK - Nike won for "corporate achievement" and women's wear designer Maria Cornejo beat out both Thom Browne and Peter Som for the fashion design award when Paul Warwick Thompson, director of the Cooper-Hewitt, the National Design Museum of the Smithsonian Institution, announced the winners of its seventh annual National Design Awards last week.
