Jun. 15--COLCHESTER -- An autistic high school senior scheduled to graduate this week from a technical program will appear before a Superior Court judge today in Norwich on charges he sexually assaulted an 8-year-old boy 15 times in exchange for cigarettes. The arrest of Michael J. Hutchins, 18, of 123 David Drive, Wednesday shocked the rural, residential neighborhood where he lived with his mother and sisters. Hutchins, known as a quiet loner with mild autism, was charged with 15 counts each of first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. Both charges are felonies.
