Human Rights Watch urges SCO countries to adhere to international human rights standards
New York. June 15. (Interfax) - Members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) "should commit to adhering to international standards on human rights", Human Rights Watch released on Wednesday with regard to June 15 SCO summit.
Human Rights Watch said that SCO member states - which include Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan - have committed serious violations of human rights and humanitarian law in the name of counterterrorism.
