Coffee has always been a part of my life. Pots of coffee hissing on the Esse stove filled our kitchen with warmth and aroma. My dad enjoyed his endless supply of strong coffee during the cold Free State winters.
Nescafe got me through university. By the time I graduated, I'd discovered filter coffee. It's about affordability and I now budget for my kick. A mug of filter coffee can do wonders. It transports me away from drudgery and to coffee shops I've visited in faraway places. And to others that I imagine I'm sitting in. It's about escapism. Avoiding work, really.
There's nothing quite like the aroma of freshly ground and brewed beans. Some less frequented coffee ...
