The Bloomingdale Barracudas Swim Team is extending an invitation to the public for a pool party from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday to help raise money for the O'Halloran Family Trust fund.
Joe O'Halloran had been an active volunteer and supporter of the swim team for the past six years. He passed away this past January, leaving his wife, Barb, and their five children, ages 9 to 17, two of which are still members of the swim team. He had just turned 51.
"He definitely was a big part of the swim team," said Barracudas president Sheila Van Wyk. "He helped out every time that we needed him. He was always right there."
