Jun. 17--Debra E. Stanley-Lapic has been to the National Marbles Tournament in Wildwood, N.J., for 33 straight years. Still, she hasn't grown tired of the yearly trips to the shore town. Stanley-Lapic, who runs the city, Berks County and Oley marbles tournaments, said she started packing about two weeks ago for the competition, which opens Monday. Stanley-Lapic, the 1973 national champion, knows what's needed to succeed. Again this weekend, she'll lead a group of Berks County mibsters to the marbles rings on the beach. The area has not produced a national champion since 1991, but 17 youngsters from Berks have won national titles ...
