International record label EMI Music Philippines got the lion's share of trophies in the 19th Awit Awards held at Casino Filipino last June 15.
EMI artists scored more than 20 nominations in almost 30 categories. From these, they took home seven trophies.
Bamboo led the winning streak by nabbing five including for "Song of The Year" and "Album of The Year." These were for the rock band's hit song "Hallelujah" culled from their sophomore disc, "Light, Peace, Love."
