Jun. 18--A cluster of intense storms marching southeast across North Texas left several thousand people without power Saturday night, with the potential to leave thousands more in the dark. More than 5,000 customers -- mostly in the Fort Worth area -- were without power at midnight, TXU Electric Delivery spokesman John Hardesty said. "We expect -- probably because of the high winds and lightning -- that we'll probably get several thousand more before it passes through Dallas," he said. "We have all our crews either out in the field already or on standby to get the service restored as quickly and safely as possible."
