Jun. 18--BROOKYLYN, Mich. -- It's a little less than a two-hour drive from here to Johnny Benson's hometown of Grand Rapids, Mich., and it took about the same amount of time for Benson to claim his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory yesterday. With a throng of family and friends cheering on his No. 23 car from section 23 of Michigan International Speedway, Benson held off veteran Mark Martin to win the Con-Way Freight 200. Benson, who was making his 60th start on the NASCAR truck circuit, took his first lead on lap 69 before losing it on the next lap to Martin.
