Jun. 18--BROKEN ARROW -- By July 5 or so, Broken Arrow Police Chief Todd Wuestewald should know whether the city's unique fireworks law is a blast or a dud. Broken Arrowans will have had two holidays of being able to set off fireworks -- legally -- so long as they bought a $20 permit. Wuestewald and city officials also will have had two years to see whether the policy works. "The ordinance is probably refined as much as it can be," the police chief said. "If we still have too many problems or too many citizens unhappy, then we'll either throw it out or bring it to a vote of the people." Until then, Broken Arrow residents can buy ...
