NEW YORK -- The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) today announced that Robert B. Zoellick, Deputy U.S. Secretary of State, will join the firm as a Managing Director. He will have the title Vice Chairman, International and will serve as Chairman of the firm's International Advisors. In these roles, Secretary Zoellick will play a central role in advising the firm on its global strategy in both developing and developed markets.
