The Air Force could have achieved greater cost savings under a contract settlement it reached five years ago with Boeing [BA] for the upkeep of its KC- 135 Stratotanker aerial refueling aircraft had ex-senior Air Force weapons buyer Darleen Druyun not rushed the deal, according to a recently issued report from the Defense Department's Inspector General (IG).
