JERICHO, West Bank _ The key chain and T-shirt index, as measured at Salah Ju'bi's little souvenir stand in Jericho's town square, is way down and still tumbling.
The market for kitsch is sated. Virtually everyone on the West Bank who wants one already has bought at least one PLO T-shirt, Al Fatah key chain, 1994 Arafat calender or Palestinian belt fashioned from strips of leather in the national colors of red, white, black and green (a steal at $9).
Local merchants almost are grateful for the Jewish settlers who periodically drive through town and tear down Palestinian flags; at least they create a demand for replacements.
