President George W. Bush and Tom DeLay are not the only people to consider when "Texas" and "politics" are used in the same sentence. Think of Jim Hightower, for example, whose white hat holds as many gallons as their hats, and who visited St. Louis on the final weekend of March, attracting nearly 600 people to the Ethical Society.
He spoke to the vital topic of the failing American health-care system, which the other two Texans are pushing into the bottomless pit that already holds so many other American values and dreams.
