In a move that brings another baby diaper product innovation to market before its main rival, Kimberly-Clark, Dallas, TX, has announced plans to launch a premium disposable unisex diaper that features "Velcro" closures and a cloth-like exterior. Tradenamed "Huggies Supreme," the diaper is expected on the shelves in the western U.S. in early 1994, with national rollout as soon as production schedules allow. most likely by year end. Developed through K-C's research into versatile nonwoven fabrics, the nonwoven outer cloth-like material was designed to have a softer feel to appeal to parents.
