CHICAGO -- Chicago and the Chicago Park District received submissions from 13 teams interested in eventually bidding on the long-term lease rights to operate four downtown parking garages for an upfront cash payment.
The city launched the request for qualifications process on May 12 with yesterday set as the deadline for submissions. Firms were asked to provide evidence of their financial ability to raise the concession payment and their technical capabilities to operate the facilities.
The teams who made submissions are: Abertis Infraestructuras S.A., with Saba Aparcamientos SA; Babcock & Brown, the Gates Group LLC, and Parking Real Estate Fund LLP; ...
