Jun. 19--NORTH PORT-- In the near future, North Porters can walk into a high tech facility for medical care without an appointment, just as they could go to an emergency room to receive urgent care treatment.
Sarasota Memorial Hospital plans to build its third Walk-In Medical Center. There is one already in Bradenton, one in Sarasota in 2006, and one coming to North Port, according to Ellen Simon, marketing representative.
The walk-in clinic will be equipped to assist patients with common medical conditions such as sore throats, flu, colds, rashes, earaches and infections, as well as minor emergencies such as sprains, ...
