Danish toymaker Lego Group to outsource Czech production to Singapore's Flextronics

PRAGUE. JUNE 21. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Danish toymaker Lego Group announced that its European production of building blocks will be moved to its Czech plant in the town of Kladno and production will be outsourced to Singaporean Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) company Flextronics over the coming three years.

"Flextronics will take over operations at the LEGO Group's factory in Kladno, the Czech Republic, beginning August 1, 2006. The factory will continue to play a key role in the production of the LEGO System products," Lego Group wrote in a press release ...
