Jun. 22--Retired Marine Corps Gen. Anthony Zinni, who has been a steadfast critic of the war in Iraq, said last night in Drexel Hill that the United States could not abandon Iraq now. "Although I thought this was the wrong war, and the wrong place, and the wrong time, and the way I think we conducted it was terrible, we are here now and we cannot let Iraq fail," he said in an interview before an award ceremony in his honor. "It's critical to the region, and the region is critical to the world and to our security. And so we've got to see this thing through now."
