The 270 000 t/a dilute nitric acid unit using the dual-pressure process, a major renovation project in Nanjing Chemical Co., Ltd., recently started construction in Jiangsu province.
The company owns 3 old nitric acid production units. Two of them use the atmospheric ammonia oxidation and acid absorption process with high energy consumption and ammonia consumption. In spire of several renovations made so far, the NOx emission still can not reach the standard. The 270 000 t/a dilute nitric acid unit is a project for the optimization of resources.
