Jun. 25--From the black and white checkerboard floor tiles to the countless play sets on display, the Official Marx Toy Museum is a blast from the past. The 4,000-square foot museum, on Second Street in Moundsville, is an homage to the genius of Louis Marx -- and to the workers who built toys in the nearby Glen Dale factory. Who was Louis Marx and what did he do to deserve a museum? Marx was the founder of Marx Toys. In 1955, he was declared "The Toy King" by Time magazine. That year, Marx topped $50 million in sales and made one-third of all toys sold in America. No wonder he was also known as "The Henry Ford of Toys."...
