Jason Graybill and Kevin Strauss don't want to be all things to all people. They just want to be portfolio managers and to offer clients investment counseling.
"What's been happening in this field," said Strauss, who like colleague Graybill is a managing director and portfolio manager at Abner, Herrman & Brock, "is that a lot of companies have started calling themselves wealth management firms. They try to provide portfolio management, insurance, estate planning, mortgage assistance, tax planning-the works. The problem is that they don't necessarily have core competencies in all those area," Strauss said.
