WASHINGTON _ You could call him a hot sauce innovator. Most people just call him "Uncle Brutha."
Brennan Proctor is the smiling face behind Uncle Brutha Gourmet Foods, a company whose flagship Uncle Brutha's Gourmet Hot Sauces has taken the world of hot sauce by storm, combining the heat of fresh chilies with flavorful ingredients such as garlic, cilantro and ginger.
Proctor's two hot sauces, Fire Sauce No. 10 and the milder Fire Sauce No. 9, have won 21 awards in hot sauce competitions across the country since being introduced in 2004.
Most recently, his sauces took home four honors at the 2006 Scovie Awards competition for hot sauce ...
