A YOUNG married couple were killed when the car they were travelling in was involved in an accident with two other vehicles at the intersection of Wakesleigh and Kenmare roads in Bellair, Durban, yesterday evening.
Another married couple were in the same vehicle, a silver Daewoo, and were rushed to R K Khan and King Edward VIII hospitals in a serious but stable condition. The wife is reported to be eight months pregnant.
According to police spokesman Thulani Mkhize, two of the vehicles in the accident were not badly damaged, but the Daewoo overturned and caught alight. The fire was soon extinguished.
