US Highway 395 now takes you northwest for about 75 miles, where it merges with US 50 three miles south of Carson City. Two blocks north of the State Museum and a block north of Washington Street at East Williams Street, 50 diverges from 395 and continues east to Virginia City or west to South Lake Tahoe.
