Grand Bahama Island, the fourth largest in the Bahamas chain, lies about 60 miles east of Florida, a 30-minute flight from Fort Lauderdale or Miami. Whether diving for the first time, or the hundredth, you'll find Grand Bahama Island an easy spot to enjoy coral reefs, ancient caves, mysterious shipwrecks and every type of marine life from dolphins to angelfish. It is also home to UNEXSO, the Underwater Explorers Society.
Tourist activity centers around Freeport/Lucaya, the capital of Grand Bahama and the second largest city in the Bahamas. It is the site of many tourist beaches and activities as well as the International Bazaar and Port Lucaya Marketplace.
