Jun. 27--CALL CENTER PLANNED NEAR CREIGHTON: An Omaha company is planning a 100-seat call center that will cater to small and medium-size businesses needing customer-care services handled over the phone or by e-mail and text-messaging, the company's owner said Monday.
Edward Taylor of Armitage Marketing Inc. said the call center would be a joint venture with IPtimize Inc., a Denver company. The companies are developing an Internet-based teleservices firm that will avoid the cost of mainframe technology, he said.
Taylor said he is looking for a location near Creighton University. He said he had no target date for getting the call center up and running.
