The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case that tests the constitutionality of creating a special public school district to accommodate a religious group. The courts acceptance of the case, Board of Education of Kiryas Joel v. Grumet, provides the justices with another opportunity to revisit the so-called Lemon test that established the ground rules for the government to follow in judging when its interactions with religion violate the Constitution.
