Jun. 24--Brandon Moore got his start in the lawn care business at 14 when his father bought him a push mower and told him to find some work.
Moore didn't take long to meet his dad's expectations -- and then some.
By the time he went to the University of Maine at Orono to study business management Moore had 40 lawns he took care of each summer in and around his hometown of Jackman.
That number has more than doubled since he graduated from college in 2003. Today Moore, now based in Waterville, has turned mowing into a full-time livelihood.
